  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • Pink food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish well.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients together: flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. Blend the wet ingredients: granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Cool completely in the pan.
  8. Prepare the coconut topping by mixing shredded coconut, powdered sugar, and milk.
  9. Spread the coconut mixture over the cooled chocolate layer and cut into bars.
