  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the thinly sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  4. Introduce the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until thoroughly browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  5. Drain any excess fat, then stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns lightly until golden brown.
  7. Build your sandwiches with the beef mixture, then sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese on top.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
