  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  3. Prepare your breading station: dredge chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Place the chicken on a baking sheet, ensuring there’s space between each piece.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking for golden color and crispiness.
  6. Combine orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, ginger, and garlic in a saucepan; simmer over medium heat.
  7. Mix cornstarch and water until smooth; add to the saucepan and stir until the sauce thickens.
  8. Toss the baked chicken in the orange sauce until coated.
  9. Serve immediately, garnished with green onions.
