- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup salsa
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) for the fries.
- In a large bowl, toss the cut potatoes with vegetable oil and salt, then spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake the fries for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef.
- Cook the beef for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the beef, stirring to combine, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and mix them with the cooked beef in a large bowl.
- To assemble, place a tortilla on a flat surface, add a generous portion of the beef and fries mixture, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and top with sour cream and salsa.
- Wrap the tortilla tightly around the filling, folding in the sides as you roll it up.
- Serve immediately, or grill the wrapped burrito on a skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side for a crispy finish.
Notes
- Feel free to add more toppings like jalapeños or avocado for extra flavor.
- This recipe can be easily adapted for a vegetarian version by using beans or vegetables instead of beef.
